Deborah Gilboa, MD

Expert in Resilience & Change Navigation

What man actually needs is not a tensionless state but rather the striving and struggling for a worthwhile goal

About ME

As a family physician I’ve learned that adults make change only when they clearly see why and how it would help them.

As a scientist I know that all change is stressful – bad changes, good changes, even neutral changes. Society believes that stress is a toxin when actually it’s a tool. A tool that, like exercise, can absolutely cause harm but a tool necessary to achieving our goals.

I’ve spent 14 years of research and development growing and testing the strategies that help individuals, teams and organizations navigate change more quickly and competently while decreasing the negative effects of stress.

Professional chops: A board certified Family Physician and award winning Clinical Associate Professor of Family Medicine at University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Dr. Gilboa is a popular TV guest who frequently appears on top television programs including TODAY, Good Morning America and The Doctors. She is also featured regularly in Forbes magazine, Washington Post, The New York Times, and other print and digital outlets.  Dr. G is .the author of five self-development books including From Stressed to Resilient, and the host of Dr. G’s Think Tank on Resilience. With a background in improvisational theater at The Second City, Dr. G is a highly sought after speaker and consultant for companies around the world who seek to strengthen their team and increase success.

Like all of Vayomar’s incredible team, I don’t live by work alone. I’m an avid traveler, amateur photographer (aren’t most people?) and I am creating a cookbook at the request of my four teen and adult sons complete with recipes, instructions, admonishments and those amateur photos.
